🏔️ About the origin:

Salchiji is a remote village nestled in the mountains of the Sierra Madre of Chiapas, where market access is limited but the altitude and climate are ideal for producing specialty coffee.

Juventino Matías Ortíz, together with his wife Bellaneyra, carefully cultivates this washed Bourbon lot with dedication and care. The plots are located at over 1,700 meters above sea level, on steep mountain slopes—conditions that contribute to the cup’s creamy body, bright acidity, and sweet, fruity profile.

Direct Impact:

This coffee represents the effort to keep traditional coffee farming alive in hard-to-reach areas. Purchasing this lot helps bring value to these unique harvests and supports economic and environmental sustainability in regions with limited market access.
