👨🌾 About the Origin:
Located in the majestic Andean Massif of southwestern Colombia, Cauca is a region where dramatic natural landscapes and deep cultural heritage converge to produce exceptional coffees. Home to more than 23,000 coffee-farming families across 75,800 hectares, it contributes around 10% of Colombia’s total production, making it the country’s fourth most important coffee region.
Grown between 1,700 and 2,100 meters, Cauca coffees benefit from fertile volcanic soils, pure mountain water and a stable climate. The towering Andes mountains shield the highlands from Pacific humidity and trade winds, creating ideal conditions for slow cherry maturation and complex, well-balanced cup profiles.
Despite ongoing sociopolitical challenges — including illicit coca cultivation, armed conflict, and pressures on natural resources — Cauca’s coffee growers continue producing outstanding-quality coffees, a testament to their resilience, dedication, and deep connection with the land.
