👨‍🌾 About the producer:

This coffee comes from Nabusimake – Siringunguru, in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, within the department of Cesar, northern Colombia.

The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is a unique territory: a mountain range independent from the Andes, rising from sea level to over 3,500 metres, just 40 km from the Caribbean coast. Its climatic, cultural and natural richness makes it one of the most distinctive coffee origins in Colombia.

This lot has been grown by the Arhuaco Indigenous Community, in an area where more than 45 families produce and cultivate specialty coffee while preserving their territory, traditions and ancestral connection to the land.

The producer of this lot, Oliverio Villafania, works with the Typica variety, an Arabica variety known for its elegance in the cup. Grown at 1,900 metres above sea level and carefully hand-picked, this coffee reflects the care and precise selection that characterise high-altitude coffees.

Its washed process, with a 48-hour fermentation followed by sun-drying, creates a clean, sweet and bright profile, with notes of dark chocolate, apricot, raw sugar cane and a citric touch of tangelo.

Direct Impact:

Each purchase directly supports coffee-growing families from the Arhuaco Indigenous Community in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, helping strengthen a specialty coffee model rooted in respect for the territory, community production and the preservation of ancestral knowledge.
