👨🌾 About the producer:
This coffee comes from Nabusimake, in Pueblo Bello, a community located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in the department of Cesar, northern Colombia.
The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is a unique territory: a mountain range independent from the Andes, rising from sea level to over 3,500 metres, just 40 km from the Caribbean coast. Its climatic, cultural and natural diversity makes it one of the most distinctive coffee origins in Colombia.
This lot has been grown by the Arhuaco Indigenous Community, in an area where more than 45 families produce and cultivate specialty coffee while preserving their territory, traditions and ancestral connection to the land.
The producer of this lot, Oliverio Villafania, works with the Castillo variety, grown at 1,800 metres above sea level and carefully hand-picked to ensure a selective harvest.
Thanks to its natural process and sun-drying, this coffee develops a sweet, expressive and balanced profile, with notes of caramelised fruit, guava, a smooth texture and hints of nuts.
